After Miracle World the Alex Kidd games really started getting worse with every installment. This one is still ok, but don't bother with the rest, if they release them!

Don't get me started on my Zelda thoughts cause I bet I'll start bruising some egos or something to that effect.
Anyway, Majora's Mask may be "essential" but what I'm referring to is more obscure games that don't have as big of a chance of being added to the VC as MM does. MM is a definite add. No doubt about that. Something else on my list like say DK64 - one of my favourite games ever - isn't as likely, I'm afraid.
@Digiki: You speak as though I've never played it before.

You bet you'll start bruising some egos huh? Why don't we talk about how stupid everything in the Zelda series is? The names for everything are unimaginative, the music is pathetic, and the characters (save for Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf) are poorly designed. And on top of all that, you struggle to have any fun while playing it. The only good Zelda game is Twilight Princess.
Zelda is simply overblown nonsense, just like Mario. But Alex Kidd on the other hand, wow! How creative, a little kid fighting monsters! Those guys at Sega sure are brilliant!
