Game Profile

All is not well in Cyber City. Criminals are running amok - looting, pillaging and raping the city of all its worth. Quite a lot of people aren't really too pleased about the rampant activities of these heartless crooks, and this includes Cyber City's mayor, who sets up the ESWAT (Enhanced Special Weapons and Tactics) division of the Cyber Police to deal with the evil, criminal menace.

The player takes on the mantle of a hard-bitten SWAT cop, who seems to be dealing with the criminal epidemic all on his own, with only his trusty service pistol for company. In order to prove to the powers-that-be that he's eligable to join the ESWAT elite, two levels worth of eight-way scrolling platform blasting have to be tackled - each with a very nasty end-of-level crime boss to be exterminated. Then it's on to all the fun and excitement of donning the specialised ESWAT armour and using all manner of extra weaponry to blast these punks into oblivion!

This was one of the first games I ever loaded into my Megadrive and it still sticks in my memory as one of the best action platformers for the machine.Although it isn't a conversion of the arcade game of the same name (neither was the Master System..

The home version is great, unlike the original arcade game.

One of my childhood favs, music and voices are pretty much classic and there is a surprising amount of variety in the gameplay.
Only got one complaint - the controls are quite stiff after you transform making it nearly impossible to dodge some attacks.

This can get hard. I'm not sure if it was the controls, the gameplay, or me.

This looks a lot like Robocop vs Terminator and I loved that game! Hope they release it.

I rarely complain about the US not getting games, cause Europe gets the shaft on games we get all the time (have you guys gotten Ninja Gaiden II yet?). But I really am interested in this game, and I can't wait to play it.

Hopefully, the US will get to play this hidden gem sooner rather than later.

I would like to try this game. I never played it when I owned a Genesis. This is why I love the Sega 16-bit era of games. There games where edgy and cleary inspired by action movies like Terminator, Robocop, Rambo, etc.

An underrated gem. This is a really cool run & gun game. Even the music is great. Although the controls do take some getting used to though. Shame about the lack of comments though. :(
