Set in the world of Greek mythology, Phelios tells the story of a young prince called Apollo, who sets out to rescue his beloved Artemis who was seized by the demon Typhon while exploring the skies with the winged horse, Pegasus. In Typhon's temple, Artemis gets locked in a dungeon where Medusa turns her into stone.
Phelios consists of seven chapters, and in each, you must defeat Typhon's minions using your sword which can emit fireballs at them. However, holding the fire button down for a few seconds will charge the sword; and upon releasing it, it shoots a larger fireball that does a fair amount of damage. During the game, you collect items that increases your speed and give you more firepower. Read More »
At the end of each chapter, you have to destroy a boss in order to proceed to the next one. Between each chapter, you can watch an intermission that details what is happening at the temple.

Well - they're either great (Gate of Thunder, Lords of Thunder, Soldier Blade, R-TYPE etc), good (Super R-TYPE, R-TYPE III, Gradius III, Blazing Lazers, Air "Zonk" etc) or crap (Dead Moon, Xevious etc)

I actually liked this one back in the day. The Greek mythology theme was cool and you a had health bar(something I rarely see in shooters.)

Opinions differ of course, but I would think most people will say M.U.S.H.A. is much better.

This looks like Capcom's Legendary Wings concept. Anyway the box art looks cool

Finally, a vertical shooter. I'm looking forward to this. I don't see 1942 or 1943 anywhere for the NES.

Average shooter. Weapons system is primitive, bosses take forever to kill, and controls are a bit loose.

What, no video? How unfortunate.
I kinda want this, simply because it's a rare Namco arcade game. Namco arcade games OWN! (Except for Tower of Druaga. Blehh!). But I'm a bit less interested after reading Leever's comment on it.
The box art is pretty cool.
Edit: Hooray, a video! Looks like a fun, though average shooter.

It's a decent vertical shooter, but it's nothing too special. The game has some redeeming qualities, but it's still a long way from the top shelf shooters.
