I'd have preferred the SNES game more just because its the SNES game. I once rented the SNES game as a kid and enjoyed it while I had it. Does this have the original Pitfall too?

To play the original Atari 2600 version of this classic game, wait for the title screen, and then press Down, then press A 26 times, then press Down again. That is how you Play the Atari 2600 Version of this game.
