he moment a lot of you have been waiting for has finally come! Yes, the legendary Super Metroid is now available in North America! Ask any Metroid or Super Nintendo fan and they will gladly admit that it's one of the greatest games ever made for the system, and perhaps even of all time. And at no increased price, it's a steal, really! If you haven't ever played the game before you would do extremely well to check it out.Sega's Shinobi III is also available today. This is perhaps the best game in the series, with lots of cool ninja moves and some challenging platforming sections. Platformer fans will like this one.
Finishing up this week is Hudson's very own Neutopia! One of the most requested TurboGrafx titles to hit VC, it's basically a blatant The Legend of Zelda ripoff - But don't let that fool you, because it's a great little game, some would even say it's better than the game it copied!
So, something for everybody, really, an action game, a platformer and an RPG. And they've all got 5 stars here too! Check out the reviews:

Good week for you guys! I can't wait to try out Super Metroid, one of those Nintendo Classics I've never gotten around to playing.
Neutopia a 5* game huh? I was just going to get the sequel, as that's supposed to be the much better one, but I may check Neutopia I out if it's that good.

i have one but at that time it`s for the super famicom.it was useless because our SNES can`t handle Japanese games.i will have the chance to buy it on the wii shop channel.

Finally! I've been getting really annoyed with gaming message boards complaining about "no good games" being on the VC. This week will certainly shut them up.

Well, now that Super Metroid is out...the only other game I can think of that I want desperately to come out is: James Bond Goldeneye for the N64.

I would not hold my breath for Goldeneye - it is a licenced game + a rare (a microsoft company nowdays) made game. In other words it is never going to be published in the VC. If it is I will eat my hat with salt and pepper!

GoldenEye 64 won't ever be released, you should already know that. It is due to a Licence or copyrights thing I read. It was covered somewhere, I don't remember the link.

Maybe you should start using half stars? If Super Metroid gets 5 stars then something like Shinobi III really should not get the same 5 stars.

The ratings system is deliberately simplified so that readers don't get too focused on the rating. Shinobi III is a different type of game to Super Metroid, it's unfair to compare them like for like.
